Care that comes to your family, not the other way round
When a child needs support, the whole family carries it. Parents juggle appointments, siblings adapt, and sleep becomes something you remember fondly. Our children's service exists to take a share of that weight, in the place your child feels safest: home.
We support children and young people aged 0 to 18 under our CQC registration. Support is planned around your child and your family, built with you rather than handed to you, and delivered by workers chosen for their warmth and patience as much as their training.
Alongside care at home we provide outreach support: helping a child or young person get out, join in and build confidence in their community, and giving parents a reliable, planned break in the week.
How we support children and families
Care in your own home
Support with daily routines, mornings, mealtimes and bedtimes, fitted around family life rather than disrupting it.
Personal care
Sensitive, age-appropriate support with washing, dressing and continence, always with dignity and always as agreed with parents.
Outreach support
Getting out and about: clubs, activities, the park, the shops. Confidence and independence built in the community, at your child's pace.
A break for parents
Planned, dependable support that lets parents rest, work, or spend time with their other children without worrying.
Sibling-aware support
Workers who understand that brothers and sisters are part of the picture too.
Consistent, familiar faces
Children need to know who is coming. We keep the team around a child small and introduce anyone new properly.
Working with your child's team
With your consent, we work alongside schools, social workers and health professionals so everyone pulls in the same direction.
Clear records for parents
You always know what happened during support, what went well and anything you should know about.
What parents can expect from us
Safeguarding before everything
Every worker has an enhanced DBS check for working with children, references and right to work verified, and safeguarding children training before they meet your child.
Parents lead the plan
You know your child. The support plan is written with you, uses your routines and your words, and changes when you say it needs to.
Introductions done properly
No stranger arrives at your door unannounced. You and your child meet a new worker before support starts.
Your child's voice
However your child communicates, their preferences shape the support. Care done to a child rather than with them is not care we recognise.
Honesty about our scope
We provide care and support, not nursing. If your child's needs sit outside what we can deliver safely, we say so and help you find the right service.
Reliability, because it matters more
A cancelled visit can collapse a family's whole day. We plan cover properly and tell you early if anything changes.
Families we support
- A child or young person who needs support with daily routines at home
- Parents providing round the clock care who need planned, reliable breaks
- A young person building confidence and independence through outreach in the community
- Families managing a new diagnosis who need steady practical help while they find their feet
- Support arranged through a social worker or local authority, or privately by the family
- Young people approaching 18 who will move to our adult services without changing provider
Every family's situation is different, and the best first step is a conversation. Tell us about your child and we will be honest about whether we are the right service.
